Speaking

To practice speaking, I want my students to work in pairs and talk about everyday topics. Since we are covering the unit on means of transportation, I will ask them to create a dialogue on any topic they choose, but incorporating vocabulary related to the unit. Once they have completed the dialogue, they will need to record themselves using the Vocaroo application and share the recording with the rest of the class. This activity will allow them to practice using the unit vocabulary orally and encourage interaction among the students. I'm excited to listen to all the recordings and see the progress of each student!

I attach the text that I have created and that you can have as a reference:

Juan: Did you see the new car racing video game?

Pedro: Yes, I love sports cars!

Juan: I would prefer to use more eco-friendly means of transportation, like bicycles.

Pedro: Bicycles are great for short distances and exercise.

Juan: Airplanes are impressive for exploring the world quickly and enjoying beautiful views.

Pedro: Trains are relaxing and allow you to enjoy the scenery.

Juan: Boats offer a unique experience on the sea.

Pedro: There are so many options to explore and enjoy new adventures.

Juan: Let's keep discovering and enjoying our journey!

You have to record yourselves using the application that I attached in the link: click here

  1. Hi, I'm your partner Samuel.

I consider that this speaking activity is very practical for students, with it they will be able to improve both their pronunciation and their verbal fluency.
On the other hand, with the recordings in pairs they will be able to work on the use of communication information technologies while learning new vocabulary and expressions in English.

    Congratulations on your blog!

    Samuel López.

Congratulations on your English blog! Speaking activities are paramount in ESL education as they provide opportunities for students to practice and improve their oral skills. Engaging in conversations, role plays, and group discussions fosters confidence, fluency, and cultural understanding. By encouraging active participation and interaction, speaking activities create an immersive learning environment that enhances language acquisition. Keep up the excellent work, and may your blog continue to be a valuable resource for language learners everywhere!
